Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Has McDaniels On Skates In First Quarter

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell had Minnesota forward Jaden McDaniels on skates as he went between the legs for step-back three during Utah’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Jazz hosted the Timberwolves at Vivint Arena on Friday, December 31.
After taking the pass from Bojan Bogdanovic, Mitchell used his patented through the legs step-back to create space and hit the three, giving the Jazz a 13-12 early lead.
Mitchell played 10 minutes in the first quarter and finished with 10 points, two rebounds and one assist. Mitchell hit three triples in the quarter. Donovan is now the ninth leading first quarter scorer in the NBA, averaging 7.4 points in first quarters.
Mitchell is averaging 25.4 points, five assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game, along with a career high 1.6 steals per game.
