Donna Lowe: I Have A Feeling Aaron And Ty Were Always On The Field With This Utah Team

PASADENA, Calif. – The Utah football team has turned a tragic situation into something beautiful.
That’s what Britain Covey said last month when reflecting on the tragic losses of Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe.
The roller coaster and magical 2021 football season will come to an end on New Year’s Day when the Utes face Ohio State in the 108th Rose Bowl Game.
Aaron Lowe’s Mother, Donna sat down with KSL 5 TV anchor Deanie Wimmer to talk about her emotions and feelings as she is witnessing a historic season from the Utes.
To the Utah Football Family:
The Moment of Loudness is coming to the @rosebowlgame. It will take place either at the last break in the 3rd quarter or the first break in the 4th quarter.
For A Lowe and Ty, let’s make this the loudest one yet. #22forever ♥️🌹 pic.twitter.com/uHfm4ODryl

Winning The Pac-12 Title And Going To The Rose Bowl
Donna Lowe was an honorary captain for the Pac-12 Championship Game, where the Utes beat the Oregon Ducks 38-10. The win clinched their first ever appearance in the Rose Bowl Game.
Lowe was able to celebrate on the field at Allegiant Stadium.
“Oh, I felt happy,” Lowe told KSL TV. “I was just like, ‘they did it for Aaron.’ Because I know Aaron was gonna be jumping and he’d probably been crying because he would have made it to the Rose Bowl.”
It’s been an emotional time for Lowe as she continues to grieve the loss of her son.
“I was it was my baby out there,” Lowe stated. “I wish it was him I was going to see. But I want those babies to succeed. I want them to go to the places that Aaron wanted to go.”
Spoke to a @Utah_Football fan that wanted to honor Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe by raising money to put roses on their grave for the @rosebowlgame.
The roses were delivered Friday, the eve of the game.https://t.co/w1nRj1epmv#GoUtes @kslsports

Aaron Can Rest After Rose Bowl
The tributes have gone on all season long as the No. 22 appears in many places. Lowe just hopes that her son’s legacy lives on.
“I just hope and pray that his legacy will live on,” Lowe said. “I just wish they know the story of Aaron because as a kid, all he talked about was football. That was his love.”
It’s been mentioned recently that Utah has had two extra players on the field. Lowe believes that.
“Oh, yeah, they had two extra players,” said Lowe. “Every game, Ty and Aaron was there. I just knew Aaron wasn’t finished. I know he wasn’t resting because football was his love. So I feel like now after the Rose Bowl, he can rest.”
Utah will face Ohio State in the Rose Bowl on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 3 p.m. MT on ESPN.
