SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Mike Conley tricked the defense with a ball bake before sinking a layup during Utah’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Blazers hosted the Jazz At Moda Center on Wednesday, December 29.
With 2:17 left in the opening quarter, Conley drove the paint before showing the ball to the defense. The ball fake caused a Portland defender to fly into the air and out of bounds. The play created a wide-open layup for Conley.
The point guard’s basket gave the Jazz a 27-20 lead.
