Mitchell Finds Early Rhythm As Jazz Host Timberwolves

SALT LAKE CITYΒ – Donovan Mitchell took advantage of a soft Minnesota defense as he poured in 11 points in a game-high nine first quarter minutes.

Struggling from long-range, Mitchell overcame his 1-4 three-point field goals by hitting four free throws and getting to the bucket for a pair of easy layups.
Mitchell finished the quarter with two rebounds and one assist to go with his 11 points. The Jazz finished the first quarter with an eight-point advantage, 35-27.
Coming into his 30th game of the season, Mitchell was averaging 25 points per game in addition to five assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 45.7 percent from the field.
