Local NFL Players Selected To 2022 Pro Bowl

SALT LAKE CITY – The NFL announced that multiple players with ties to the state of Utah were selected for the 2022 Pro Bowl for their performance this season.
Pro Bowl rosters were announced for the NFC and AFC on Wednesday, December 22.
Former Utah State and current Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner and former Utah and current Los Angeles Rams kicker Matt Gay were both selected to the 2022 Pro Bowl.
Wagner was selected as a reserve player on the NFC roster. has now been selected to the Pro Bowl in eight consecutive seasons.
This season, Wagner has recorded 158 total tackles, 88 solo tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, one interception, and five pass breakups.

Gay earned a starting nod on the NFC’s roster with his selection. It was Gay’s first Pro Bowl selection.
This season, This season, Gay is 28/29 on field goals and 40/41 on extra point kicks. Gay’s only missed field goal came from 46 yards on October 3.

Former Utah and current Denver Broncos offensive lineman Garett Bolles, former Utah and current San Francisco 49ers punter Mitch Wishnowsky, and former BYU Cougars and current 49ers linebacker Fred Warner were named alternates for the annual all-star game.
The 2022 Pro Bowl will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 6. The game will be televised on ESPN and ABC.
