SALT LAKE CITY – Rudy Gobert saw one record streak come to an end, but set another personal best in the Utah Jazz 112-102 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday.
Gobert owned the NBA record for most consecutive games shooting 50 percent or better from the floor at 64 but saw that come to an end thanks to his 4-10 outing on Monday.
The streak was far and away the longest of its kind in NBA history, as Gobert’s 64 games were 24 more than DeAndre Jordan who holds the league’s second-longest streak at 40.

Gobert’s hot shooting streak began on March 12 of last season with a Jazz win over the Houston Rockets and continued through the team’s loss to the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
During the 64 games stretch, Gobert had more games where he failed to miss a shot (eight) than he did games when he shot the minimum qualifier of 50 percent (seven).
Gobert also shot 70 percent or better during the stretch 38 times while shooting below the 70 percent mark just 26 times.
The Jazz All-Star currently leads the NBA in field goal percentage at 72 percent, a career-high, and is on pace to finish as the league’s most efficient scorer for the third time in the last four seasons.
Gobert is averaging 15.4 points per game, a career-high 15.0 rebounds. and is on pace to become the first player in NBA history to average at least 15 points and 11 rebounds while shooting better than 70 percent from the floor.
