SALT LAKE CITY – Utah football standouts Clark Phillips III, T.J. Pledger IV and Bamidele Olaseni gave back to the Salt Lake City community with a toy drive over the weekend.
Phillips, Pledger and Olaseni partnered with the Boys and Girls Club in Salt Lake City. With the help of sponsors from around the Wasatch Front, the Utah football trio was able to get toys donated for those less fortunate this holiday season.
“It makes me feel really good that we have the fanbase that we do, seeing all the fans come together for something that is a greater cause for the youth and really donate toys and do everything to give back is really special,” Phillips said at the event. “It’s a testament to who we are as Utes and what kind of fans that we have. Super grateful.”
Leading up to the event on Saturday, December 18, those that wanted to donate new and non-gift wrapped toys could go to 1-800-GOT-JUNK, U.S. Cryotherapy, Hotworx or The Joint to drop off their donations.

“It feels great, we are very appreciative for each and every one of you guys coming out to help us,” Pledger said. “We just want to show our appreciation and give back to the community and we are thankful for you guys.”
The Boys and Girls Club received a truck full of toys that will help put a smile on the faces of children in the community.
“It’s great to see a community come together to help those that are unfortunate. It’s a good feeling to be in a good community,” said Olaseni.
