Judkins Hits Career Milestone in Dixie State’s Sixth Straight Win

SALT LAKE CITY – The Dixie State Trailblazers continued their winning ways, improving to 7-5 with a 78-69 win over the North Dakota Bison.
Dixie State played North Dakota in Sioux City in a matinee on Saturday, December 18.
It was the Trailblazers’ first road win of the year. The victory also stood out for another reason as head coach Jon Judkins earned his 300th career win with Dixie State.

Hunter Schofield led the Trailblazers in double-figures, scoring 18 points. Noa Gonsalves added 12 points and Cameron Gooden’s 10 rounded out the scoring leaders.
Dixie State fell behind out of the gates, giving up an 8-0 Bison run before Dancell Leter hit a layup. The Trailblazers battled back throughout the first half, taking their first lead at 25-23 thanks to a 14-4 run.

The Trailblazers never trailed in the second half, leading by as much as 16 points before fighting off a late run from North Dakota that cut the lead to five with 1:08 remaining.
Dixie State wraps up its non-conference slate on Wednesday night against in-state Southern Utah in Cedar City on Wednesday, December 22. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. (MDT).
