BYU RB Tyler Allgeier Bursts For Big Touchdown Run Against UAB

SHREVEPORT, La. – BYU running back Tyler Allgeier sprinted down the sideline for a massive touchdown run against the UAB Blazers.
The No. 13 Cougars played the Blazers in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana on Saturday, December 18.
With 13:43 left in the third quarter, Allgeier broke up the field and to the sideline before sprinting 62 yards to the end zone.

Allgeier’s score tied the game at 21-21.
The run capped a three-play, 75-yard drive that took only 1:17 off the clock to open the second half of action.
After the sprint, Allgeier had 18 carries for 166 yards and two touchdowns. He added two receptions for 12 yards out of the backfield.

The Fontana, California native entered the game with 249 carries for 1,414 yards and 20 touchdowns.
The Independence Bowl between BYU and UAB is broadcast on ABC and KSL NewsRadio (102.7 FM and 1160 AM).
