Rudy Gobert Throws Down Alley-Oop Dunk To Open Spurs/Jazz Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a slam dunk on an alley-oop during the opening minutes of Utah’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Jazz hosted the Spurs at Vivint Arena on Friday, December 17.
Only 1:05 in the game, Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic lobbed the ball towards the hoop. Gobert caught Conley’s pass and threw down a jam to give Utah an early 4-2 lead.

Gobert’s dunk led an early timeout by Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.
During his first five minutes of action, Gobert had four points on 2-4 field goals. He added four rebounds before checking out for the first time.
This season, Gobert is averaging 15.3 points, 14.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 0.8 steals per contest. He has shot a career-best 73.8 percent from the field to start the 2021-22 season.
