SALT LAKE CITY – Two-time NBA All-Star center Rudy Gobert praised his teammates on the Utah Jazz for their maturity, competitiveness, and will to win.

Gobert spoke about the current state of the Jazz during an interview with KSL Unrivaled on The Zone Sports Network on Friday, December 17.

The three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year was asked what he felt best about with the Jazz right now.

“The competitiveness is there,” Gobert responded. “We all want to win but the level of maturity that we’re able to reach as a team.”

The center added that each player is trying to help the “guy next to him” improve.

“The level of talent that we have, you know, it’s something’s pretty special,” Gobert said. “We want to win a championship. I think that with this mindset, we know we can achieve everything.”

In 27 games, Gobert has averaged 15.3 points, 14.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 0.8 steals per contest. He has shot a career-best 73.8 percent from the field to start the 2021-22 season.

Gobert and the Jazz currently own a 20-7 record, which ranks third-best in the league.

Utah’s next game is against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, December 17 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, NBA League Pass, and The Zone Sports Network.
