Utah State Tops Weber State After Strong First Half

OGDEN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies took down in-state foe Weber State 95-80 after a strong first half at the Dee Events Center on Wednesday night.
Utah State dropped 59 points in the first half and held Weber State to 44 before each team scored 36 points in the second half.
Steven Ashworth led the Aggies with a career-high 27 points off the bench. Justin Bean and Rylan Jones suffered injuries in the second half. Brandon Horvath and Brock Miller posted 20 points apiece, while R.J. Eytle-Rock added 11 points.
The Aggies shot 52% from the field, 50% from the three-point line and made all eight of their free throw attempts.

Koby McEwen led the Wildcats with 26 points, while Dillon Jones had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Seikou Sisoho Jawara dropped 16 points and J.J. Overton added 10 points.
Weber State shot 45% from the field, 36% from beyond the arc and 68% at the free throw line.
The Wildcats dropped their record to 9-2 on the season. They will be back at the Dee Events Center to face BYU on Saturday, December 18 at 6 p.m. MT on KJZZ and heard on KSL Newsradio.
Utah State improved their record to 8-3 on the year. They will head to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to battle Iowa in the Sanford Pentagon on Saturday, December 18 at 7 p.m. MT. The game will be on the Big Ten Network and heard on The Zone Sports Network.
