BYU RB Tyler Allgeier Creates Hamburger In Honor Of Memorable Play

PROVO, Utah – The legendary status of the forced fumble BYU running back Tyler Allgeier had against Arizona State grows. If it wasn’t impressive enough, the memorable play now has a hamburger created in its honor.

Allgeier announced on his social media platforms a Name, Image, and Likeness collaboration he has with Provo’s Backdoor BRGR. The collab includes a new hamburger called “The Hammer!” Allgeier posted a picture of his strip play on Arizona State linebacker Merlin Robertson with the post.

Allgeier’s “The Hammer” includes a fried egg, honey BBQ sauce, fried onion strings, bacon, mushrooms, and pepper jack cheese.

If you want to try Allgeier’s Hammer hamburger, you can try it next week, and the star running back might even serve it to you.
On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Backdoor Brgr, Allgeier will be serving up “The Hammer.” A percentage of the proceeds raised during those two hours will go to the Huntsman Foundation of Cancer Research.
Allgeier is one of the nation’s top running backs in 2021. The fourth-year sophomore has rushed for 1,414 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. His touchdown total is tied for the most in college football this season.
Tyler Allgeier and the BYU football program will look to cap off the 2021 season with an 11th win this year on Saturday when they take on UAB in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana.
