Former Utah Standout Nate Orchard Signs With Washington Football Team

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes defensive end Nate Orchard signed with the Washington Football Team for a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.
Washington announced Orchard’s signing on Tuesday, December 14.
Orchard was signed off of the Green Bay Packers practice squad.

The former Utah standout previously played for Washington from 2019-20.
After an impressive college career at the University of Utah, Orchard was selected by the Cleveland Browns during the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Since then, the Highland High School product has been a member of 10 NFL organizations, including offseason programs and practice squads.

During his professional career, Orchard has recorded 85 total tackles, 51 solo tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, 16 quarterback hits, one interception, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 46 games played.
Orchard has started 13 games in the NFL.
The former Utah defensive lineman joined a Washington team that currently owns a 6-7 record and sits in second place in the NFC East.
