Utah Valley Drops Road Contest To Wyoming After Big Second Half Run

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Valley Wolverines trailed by double digits in the first half but climbed back into the game before suffering a 74-62 loss to Wyoming in Laramie.
Utah Valley struggled in the first half as the Cowboys outscored them 39-27 after not attempting one free throw and turned the ball over five times, while Wyoming only committed two TO’s.
The Wolverines rallied in the second half and the game was tied at 55 with six minutes remaining in the game. Wyoming went on a 12-0 run, while UVU was scoreless for over three minutes.

The difference in the game was the amount of free throws between the two teams. Utah Valley went 3-of-4 from the foul line, while Wyoming had 21 attempts with 15 makes.
Fardaws Aimaq led the way for Utah Valley with 14 points and five rebounds in the loss. Tim Ceaser and Jaden McClanahan each added eight points. Five Wyoming players scored in double figures led by Xavier DuSell with 16 points. Former Ute Brenden Wenzel added 12 points for the Cowboys.
Utah Valley dropped their record to 7-3 on the season. They will return to the UCCU Center to face Bethesda on Friday, December 17 at 6 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
