Weber State Dominates First Half, Cruises To Win Over Maine-Fort Kent

SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State men’s basketball team controlled the game from the opening tip and cruised to victory over the Maine-Fort Kent Bengals.
The Wildcats hosted the Bengals on Saturday, December 11.
Weber State beat Maine-Fort Kent, 82-36.

The Wildcats opened the game on a 16-0 run over the first 7:14 of game time. Weber State continued to roll and took a 38-6 lead into the halftime break.

The Bengals battled back in the second half but were unable to keep pace with the Wildcats. Weber State outscored Maine-Fort Kent over the final 20 minutes, 46-28.
The Wildcats finished the game shooting 53.1 percent from the field, despite going 2-22 for 9.1 percent on three-pointers.

Dontay Bassett led Weber State with 13 points and five rebounds off the bench.
With the win, the Wildcats improved their record to 9-1 this season.
Weber State’s next game is against the Utah State Aggies on Wednesday, December 15 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and The Zone Sports Network (1280 AM).
