Southern Utah Smashes St. Katherine For Sixth Straight Win

SALT LAKE CITY – The Southern Utah men’s basketball team flew past the St. Katherine Firebirds to win their sixth consecutive game.
The Thunderbirds hosted the Firebirds on Saturday, December 11.
SUU beat St. Katherine, 100-61.

After a dominant performance in the first half, the T-Birds completed their crushing win with a big second half.
Southern Utah owned a 47-33 lead at the halftime break.

During the final 20 minutes of action, the Thunderbirds outscored the Firebirds, 53-28.
Southern Utah shot 57.8 percent overall and 34.4 percent from beyond the arc.
Four Thunderbirds reached double figures in scoring. John Knight III led SUU with 19 points, one rebound, five assists, and two steals.

With the win, the Thunderbirds improved their record to 7-3 this season.
Southern Utah’s next game is on the road against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, December 18 at 5 p.m. (MDT). The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
