The MUSS Named Best Student Section In The Nation
SALT LAKE CITY – The Mighty Utah Student Section, also known as The MUSS was named the best student section in the nation on Thursday evening.
The MUSS is celebrating their 20-year anniversary and are now taking home the title of best student section in the country.
Taco Bell held a contest all season long that would profile and highlight the best student sections in the nation. Known for the famous “Third Down Jump,” the MUSS has brought the energy all season at Rice-Eccles Stadium and even to some road games.

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham was impressed by the atmosphere on November 20 when Utah beat Oregon in primetime, 38-7.
“They’ve been awesome all year long, the crowd at Rice Eccles 13 days ago for that Oregon game was the best environment I’ve ever been in,” Whittingham said after the Pac-12 Championship Game. “This was just a great show of support from our fans. I promise you one thing, they’re gonna travel at the Rose Bowl. I guarantee you that.”
