Weber State’s Long Winning Streak Ends After Loss To Washington State

SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State Wildcats’ perfect start to the season is over after they suffered their first loss of the year in Pullman against Washington State.
Weber State fell to Washington State 94-60 on Wednesday night on the Palouse. Dillon Jones led the way with 16 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats. Koby McEwen and J.J. Overton each had 12 points apiece. Seikou Sisoho Jawara added 11 points in the loss.

Weber State shot 35% from the field, 21% at the free throw line and went 15-of-19 from the free throw line. The Cougars outscored the Wildcats 35-24 in the first half and 59-36 in the second half.
Washington State pulled down 43 rebounds, while Weber State had just 24 boards.
Noah Williams led Washington State with 17 points. D.J. Rodman, Mouhamed Gueye and T.J. Bamba all had 14 points apiece. Michael Flowers added 13 points.
Weber State dropped their record to 8-1 on the season. They will return home to host Maine Fort Kent on Saturday, December 11 at 2:30 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
