SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah football program received another commitment and another recruit from their backyard in Brighton offensive lineman Tyler Knaak.

Tyler Knaak is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports. The composite has not generated a rating for Knaak yet.

The hometown hero made his announcement on social media on Monday afternoon.

“Thank you to everyone who has been involved in my recruitment process,” Knaak wrote. “From little league coaches to academic advisors to college coaches, everyone has given so much support and backing through this whole process. Thank you to every university that has extended me an offer to continue my academic and athletic career, I am forever grateful. With that said I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Utah!”

Knaak received offers from Arizona State, Oregon State, USC, Virginia, Arizona, Kansas, Liberty, Minnesota, Nevada, Vanderbilt and Weber State.

He is the 10th prospect to verbally commit to Utah in the 2022 class, joining four-star QB Nate Johnson, fellow Brighton star Lander Barton, three-star RB Jaylon Glover, three-star athlete Carson Tabaracci, three-star QB Brandon Rose, three-star WR Ryan Peppins, three-star WR Chris Reed, three-star OT Tavo Motuapuaka and three-star athlete Tao Johnson.
