SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz center Rudy Gobert made a series of clutch plays on both ends of the court to help Utah beat the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers hosted the Jazz on Sunday, December 5.

Utah beat Cleveland, 109-108.

With 1:42 left in the fourth quarter, Gobert spun off the defense of Cavs center Jarrett Allen before driving towards the hoop. Gobert rose up towards the hoop and slammed a thunderous slam dunk down through the cylinder with his left hand.

The jam ended up being the game-winning bucket and gave the Jazz a one-point lead, 109-108.

Gobert had two blocks during the final 3:29 of the game, including a big block on a potential go-ahead layup attempt by Cleveland’s Darius Garland with 48.0 seconds left.

Gobert finished the game with six points, 20 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and five blocks in 38 minutes of action.

With the win, the Jazz improved their record to 16-7 this season.

Utah’s next game is on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, December 8 at 6 p.m. (MDT).
