Utah Jazz Forward Rudy Gay Reaches 17,000 Career Points

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Rudy Gay scored the 17,000th point of his NBA career during Utah’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers hosted the Jazz on Sunday, December 5.
With 47.3 seconds left, Gay buried a three-pointer for the second time in 60 seconds.
Gay’s three stretched Utah’s lead to 91-80 and gave him 17,000 career points.

After the triple, Gay had 15 points on 5-10 field goals, including 3-7 from distance. He added eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and a block during his first 19 minutes on the court.

This season, Gay is averaging 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
