Dixie State Picks Up Third Straight Win After Dominating Saint Katherine

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Dixie State Trailblazers picked up their third straight win after a blowout 97-65 win over Saint Katherine on Saturday night at home.
Five Dixie State players reached double figures, led by Hunter Schofield with 16 points and seven rebounds. Cameron Gooden dropped 14 points, along with 13 points by Dancell Leter. Frank Staine and Andre Mulibea each added 11 points.
Three more DSU players were close to double figures, as Jacob Nicolds, Trevon Allfrey and Jamaal Barnes all scored eight points apiece. The Trailblazers outscored Saint Katherine 55-31 in the first half and 42-34 in the second half.

As a team, DSU shot 57% from the field, 40% from the three-point line and 75% from the free throw line. They outrebounded Saint Katherine 39-28 and held them to 41% shooting from the floor, 25% from beyond the arc and to just 10 free throw attempts.
Dixie State improved their record to 4-5 on the season. They will play four more non-conference games before jumping into WAC play. The Trailblazers will host Denver on Saturday, December 11 at 7 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
