Utah State Blocks Punt, Scores On SDSU Safety In Mountain West Title Game

CARSON, Calif. – Utah State’s special teams unit came up with its second blocked punt that bounced out of the back of the end zone for a touchdown in the Mountain West Conference Championship game against the San Diego State Aztecs.
The No. 19 Aztecs hosted the Aggies at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, December 4.
With 11:38 left in the third quarter, the Aggies blocked an Aztec punt for the second time.
The ball bounced into the end zone and out of bounds for a safety and two Utah State points.

The safety stretched USU’s lead to 23-3 over SDSU.
The punt attempt was the second blocked kick by the Aggies.
Utah State blocked a San Diego State punt during the first quarter.
