Real Salt Lake Academy Duo Called Into USMNT Camp For Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendly

SALT LAKE CITY – Taylor Booth and Brooks Lennon have been called into Gregg Berhalter’s US Men’s National Team camp for December.
The former RSL Academy players will both look for their first cap for the United States as they conclude their 2021 schedule with a friendly fixture against Bosnia and Herzegovina at Dignity Sports Health Park in Carson, California on December 18.
Booth is one of just three players to receive the call-up from a foreign club. Booth currently plays for Bayern Munich II in Germany after leaving RSL Academy in January of 2019. The Eden, Utah native has appeared for the US at every age level throughout the youth system.
Lennon received his first call up since January of 2018. The current Atlanta United right-back is listed as a defender on the USMNT website and will hope to receive his first cap on the international stage. Lennon enters the camp has had a breakout season with Atlanta United following a 2021 campaign that saw him play in 32 from a possible 34 including 30 starts. Furthermore, Lennon was tied for seventh in MLS in key passes while adding six assists to his name.

Players will begin reporting for camp as early as this Sunday, December 5th.
Aaron Herrera and Justen Glad would have likely been called into camp if it weren’t for Real Salt Lake still contending for the MLS Cup. Both players are likely call-ups for national team camps in January as the US continues its fight for World Cup qualification.
