LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Utah running back Tavion Thomas has officially rushed for 1,000 yards, reaching that milestone in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
Entering the game on Friday, Tavion Thomas needed just 22 yards to reach 1,000 on the season. He reached the mark during the second quarter of the Pac-12 Championship Game against Oregon at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It’s been a roller coaster of a season for the Cincinnati and Independence Community College transfer. As a standout performer in fall camp, Thomas showed his ability with 107 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener against Weber State.
He struggled with ball security over the next three games, recording just 27 yards on nine carries during that stretch.
Thomas started to gain trust from the coaching staff when he had 113 yards and one TD on the road against USC. Then he had 84 and 74 rushing yards against Arizona State and Oregon State respectively.
Thomas went on to rush for over 100 yards in three of the last four games of the season, along with 12 touchdowns.
Utah and Oregon can be seen on ABC.
