Weber State Defeats Dixie State To Stay Perfect This Season

SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State men’s basketball team took down in-state foe Dixie State to maintain an undefeated record this season.
The Trailblazers hosted the Wildcats at Burns Arena in Saint George, Utah on Saturday, November 27.
Weber State defeated Dixie State, 87-70.

After a close first half in which the Wildcats owned a six-point lead at the break, Weber State pulled away from Dixie State over the final 20 minutes of game time.
The Wildcats outscored the Blazers by 11 points in the second half and came away with a 17-point victory.
Weber State finished the contest shooting 56.7 percent overall and 45.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Seikou Sisoho Jawara led the Wildcats with 23 points on 10-16 field goals.

Dixie State shot 46.9 percent from the field, including 33.3 percent from distance.
Dancell Leter led the Trailblazers with 17 points.
With the result, the Wildcats improved their record to 6-0 this season and Dixie State fell to 1-5.

Weber State’s next game is against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Thursday, December 2 at 7 p.m. (MDT) on ESPN+.
