Utah Valley Outlasts Denver For Overtime Victory

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Valley men’s basketball team outlasted the Denver Pioneers in overtime for a nine-point win at home.
The Wolverines hosted the Pioneers at UCCU Center in Orem, Utah on Saturday, November 27.

After trailing by three points at halftime, the Wolverines outscored the Pioneers over the final 20 minutes of action.
Utah Valley’s Justin Harmon sunk a pair of free throws with 19 seconds left in the second half to force overtime with the scoreboard tied at 63-63.
The Wolverines locked down on defense during the extra time and outscored the Pioneers in overtime, 14-5.
Utah Valley finished the game shooting 54.2 percent from the field.
Fardaws Aimaq led the Wolverines with 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.

With the win, the Wolverines improved their record to 6-1 this season.
Utah Valley’s next game is against the No. 18 BYU Cougars on Wednesday, December 1 at 7 p.m. (MDT) on ESPN+ and KSL NewsRadio (102.7 FM and 1160 AM).
