SALT LAKE CITY – Now that the Utah football team has wrapped up the regular season, the players are excited for what is ahead.
Coming into Friday’s contest against Colorado, Utah was playing for their seniors after locking up the Pac-12 South Division following a win over Oregon last week.
After a 28-13 win over the Buffaloes on Friday afternoon, Utah will now turn their attention to the Pac-12 Championship on Friday night at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their opponent is to be determined as of the time this story was published.

Utah will face either Oregon, Oregon State or Washington State.
After the win, wide receiver Britain Covey elaborated on the challenges of focusing on just Colorado coming into the game rather than the championship game in Las Vegas.
“Well, I think it’s obvious we didn’t play our best,” said Covey. “At this point that doesn’t matter, sent the upperclassman out right. It’s nice to be able to just focus on what we really want to focus on right now. It took a lot to really focus on this game throughout the week because our whole entire offseason we’re talking about Pac-12 Championship. We are excited to be able to look forward now. We’re not even going to celebrate this victory. The moment we get home, we’re just preparing.”
The Pac-12 Championship game will take place on Friday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. MT on ABC.
