SALT LAKE CITY – The New York Jets will start rookie quarterback Zach Wilson on Sunday when they battle the Houston Texans in the Lonestar state.
Zach Wilson has been cleared to play after missing the last four games with a sprained knee. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jets QB Mike White has tested positive for COVID-19 and fellow signal caller Joe Flacco was deemed a close contact. Both White and Flacco were put on the COVID list.
That means that Josh Johnson is being promoted from the practice squad to the active roster to back up Wilson.
