Dixie State Unable To Keep Pace With No. 24 USC

SALT LAKE CITY – The Dixie State men’s basketball team was unable to keep pace with the No. 24 team in college hoops and suffered a road loss to the USC Trojans.
The Trojans hosted the Trailblazers at the Galen Center in Los Angeles on Monday, November 22.
Dixie State dropped the game to USC, 98-71.
The Trailblazers battled all night but weren’t able to match the Trojans.
USC owned an 11-point lead after the first 20 minutes of action.

During the second half, the Trojans outscored the Blazers by 16 points.

The Trailblazers finished the contest shooting 32.0 percent from the field, including 25.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Cameron Gooden and Frank Staine led Dixie State with 17 points each.
With the loss, the Trailblazers fell to a 1-4 record this season.
Dixie State’s next game is at home against the Weber State Wildcats on Saturday, November 27 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
