Former SUU Safety Miles Killebrew Blocks Punt During Steelers/Chargers Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Southern Utah standout and current Pittsburgh Steelers safety Miles Killebrew blocked a punt by the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers hosted the Steelers on Sunday, November 21.
With 12:40 left in the fourth quarter, the Chargers punted the ball on 4th & 3 at their own 32-yard line.
Killebrew flew into the backfield and blocked the kick. It was the former Thunderbird’s second blocked punt of the season.
The ball bounced backwards and out of bounds at the L.A. three-yard line.

Four plays later, the Steelers punched the ball into the end zone on a goal line run by Najee Harris.

After the play, Killebrew had one tackle and a blocked punt.
This season, Killebrew has seven total tackles, five solo tackles, and two blocked punts.
