Utah Basketball Holds Off Boston College In Sunshine Slam

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah men’s basketball team needed a strong second half to get past Boston College with a 68-61 win in the Sunshine Slam.
Branden Carlson and David Jenkins Jr. each scored 13 points to lead the Runnin’ Utes to their fourth straight win. Marco Anthony and Lazar Stefanovic each added nine points in the win.
It’s the first time that Utah basketball has started the season 4-0 since the 2011-12 campaign.

Boston College outscored Utah 32-30 in the first half after the Runnin’ Utes shot 43% from the field. Utah returned the favor by outscoring BC 38-29 in the second half after shooting 50% from the floor and from the three-point line.
Jaeden Zackery led the Eagles with 15 points.
This is the first game of the season that Utah was beaten in the rebounding battle. Boston College had 32 rebounds, while Utah had 28. Marco Anthony led the Utes with seven boards.
Utah improved their record to 4-0 on the season. They will finish up the Sunshine Slam with a game against Tulsa on Sunday, November 22. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. MT on FloSports.
