USU WR Savon Scarver Snags First TD Catch Of Season Against SJSU

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah State wide receiver Savon Scarver caught his first touchdown reception of the 2021 season during the Aggies’ game against the San Jose State Spartans.
The Spartans hosted the Aggies on Saturday, November 13.
With 12:40 left in the first half, USU quarterback Logan Bonner connected with Scarver for two yards and six points.
Scarver’s touchdown reception got the Aggies on the scoreboard and cut SJSU’s lead to 14-7.

The play capped a five-play, 70-yard drive that lasted 1:46.
Utah State’s possession began with a 43-yard deep ball from Bonner to Deven Thompkins.

After the score, Bonner was 10/13 passing for 104 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
Scarver had one catch for two yards and a touchdown. The receiver entered the game with one touchdown this season, which came on a kick return.
