UVU Opens Season With Road Loss To Boise State

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Valley men’s basketball team suffered a road loss to the Boise State Broncos to open their 2021-22 schedule.
The Broncos hosted the Wolverines at ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho on Tuesday, November 9.
UVU fell to BSU, 76-56.

The Wolverines had a nice start to the game and took a 19-13 lead on a Justin Harmon dunk with 11:21 remaining in the first half.
After Harmon’s jam, the Broncos went on a 12-0 run to take the lead.

Boise State didn’t look back.
The Wolverines trailed by 11 points at the halftime break, 38-27.
UVU struggled to come back in the second half and was outscored by Boise State over the final 20 minutes, 38-29.

The Wolverines ended the game shooting 46.0 percent from the field, including 27.3 percent from three.
UVU had two players reach double-digits in scoring.
Fardaws Aimaq led Utah Valley with 15 points and five rebounds. Harmon added 14 points off the bench.
The Wolverines fell to an 0-1 record with the loss.
Utah Valley’s next game is at home against Antelope Valley on Friday, November 12 at 6 p.m. (MDT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
