Jazz Center Hassan Whiteside Swats Shot By Hawks’ Cam Reddish

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz center Hassan Whiteside denied a shot by Hawks forward Cam Reddish during Utah’s game against Atlanta.
The Jazz hosted the Hawks at Vivint Arena on Tuesday, November 9.
With 5:38 left in the first half, Reddish attempted to float a driving layup over the seven-foot-tall shot blocker. Whiteside rejected Reddish’s field goal before nodding to the crowd in celebration of the swat.
Utah owned a 48-40 lead at the time of Whiteside’s block.

At halftime, the Jazz were up 62-50.
During the opening 24 minutes of game time, Whiteside had eight points on 2-2 field goals. He added four rebounds, one assist, and a block in 14 minutes of the bench.
This season, the veteran center is averaging 7.1 points, 7.9 boards, and 1.5 blocks in 16.0 minutes per game.
