SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz center Hassan Whiteside denied a shot by Hawks forward Cam Reddish during Utah’s game against Atlanta.

The Jazz hosted the Hawks at Vivint Arena on Tuesday, November 9.

With 5:38 left in the first half, Reddish attempted to float a driving layup over the seven-foot-tall shot blocker. Whiteside rejected Reddish’s field goal before nodding to the crowd in celebration of the swat.

Utah owned a 48-40 lead at the time of Whiteside’s block.

At halftime, the Jazz were up 62-50.

During the opening 24 minutes of game time, Whiteside had eight points on 2-2 field goals. He added four rebounds, one assist, and a block in 14 minutes of the bench.

This season, the veteran center is averaging 7.1 points, 7.9 boards, and 1.5 blocks in 16.0 minutes per game.

Utah’s game against Atlanta is broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, NBA League Pass, and The Zone Sports Network.
