Utah RB Tavion Thomas Flies Downfield For Hat Trick Against Stanford

SALT LAKE CITY – Utes running back Tavion Thomas broke loose for a big touchdown run during the first half of Utah’s game against the Stanford Cardinal.
The Cardinal hosted the Utes on Friday, November 5.
With 14:13 remaining in the second quarter, Thomas burst out of the backfield and broke loose for a 58-yard touchdown run on the opening play of Utah’s fourth offensive possession of the game.
Thomas’ score was his third of the game and 13th of the season.
The score gave the Utes a 21-0 lead.

Thomas scored touchdowns on runs during Utah’s first two drives of the contest.
After his third trip to the end zone, Thomas had nine carries for 122 yards and three touchdowns.

The sophomore running back entered the contest with 102 carries for 565 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground this season.
Thomas has found the end zone in each of his last five games for the Utes.
Utah’s game against Stanford is broadcast on FS1 and 700 AM.
