Tavion Thomas Bursts For Second Score Of Utah/Stanford Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Utes running back Tavion Thomas powered into the end zone for the second time of the opening quarter against the Stanford Cardinal.
The Cardinal hosted the Utes on Friday, November 5.
With 6:15 left in the opening quarter, Thomas flew out of the backfield for five yards and six points.
It resulted in his second score of the first quarter.
Thomas’ touchdown gave the Utes a 14-0 lead.

The run capped a six-play, 68-yard drive that lasted 2:33.
After the score, Thomas had six carries for 37 yards and two touchdowns.

The sophomore running back entered the contest with 102 carries for 565 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground this season.
Thomas has found the end zone in each of his last five games for the Utes.
Utah’s game against Stanford is broadcast on FS1 and 700 AM.
