SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz guard/forward Joe Ingles isn’t worried about the shooting slump that Jordan Clarkson is currently experiencing.
Entering Sunday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Jordan Clarkson made at least one three-pointer in a game for 99 straight games. He missed all seven of his attempts from beyond the arc in their win over the defending champs, which snapped the long streak.
Joe Ingles made his weekly appearance on “The Joe Ingles Show” on The Zone Sports Network on Wednesday and was asked about Clarkson.
“JC is kind of JC on and off the court regardless of the basketball side of things,” said Ingles. “No doubt it’s frustrating. Especially because a lot of the shots are shots he’s made in the past or made basically all of them last year. There’s obviously a number of things you could throw up as excuses. He would never do that. I mean, JC is the sixth man so, people are going to defend him differently than what they have in the past He’ll figure it out. We can do a better job as well as a team in making it easy for him getting him some easier looks, getting him some layups, getting him into paint.”

The Jazz knocked off the Sacramento Kings at home on Tuesday but Clarkson missed all of 11 attempts from downtown and has now missed the last 18 attempts from deep.
This season, Clarkson is 13-of-65 from the three-point line, shooting 20%. He will look to get out of the slump when the Jazz begin a three-game road trip in Atlanta to face the Hawks on Thursday, November 4 at 5:30 p.m. MT on AT&T SportsNet and The Zone Sports Network.
