BYU WR Samson Nacua Hauls In Deep TD Pass During Wild Virginia Game

PROVO, Utah — After relinquishing their early lead, BYU takes the lead on a Samson Nacua touchdown catch. The Cougars scored on the 40-yard reception and lead the Cavaliers 38-35. It’s been a back and forth affair tonight in Provo.

The Wahoo’s scored on a touchdown run by quarterback Brennan Armstrong, taking the lead 35-31. BYU’s early lead had been erased. But quarterback Jaren Hall and the BYU offense drove down the field and responded.
Tyler Allgeier started it off with a 13-yard run for a quick first down. Jaren Hall then found his favorite target of the game, Puka Nacua, for a 22-yard completion. On first down, Hall took a shot to the corner for Samson Nacua the Utah transfer pulled it down for the touchdown.
It was Samson Nacua’s first touchdown of the game and third on the season. Nacua also eclipsed 100 receiving yards on the game. It’s the first time Samson Nacua has had a 100-yard receiving game in his BYU career.
Virginia took back the lead before the half and lead the Cougars 42-38 at halftime.
