SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah football team continues to honor the lives of Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe with many different ways this season.
The latest is that the program installed the decal on the turf that is in the southeast corner of Rice-Eccles Stadium near the Utes’ tunnel.
It’s the decal that has the number 22 with the first two being flipped to form the shape of a heart. The letters “TJAL” are inside the heart and “forever” is below that with the block U.
That was installed earlier this week leading up to the game against UCLA at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

That is one of the many things that the Utes have done to honor Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe. Utah Athletics has established scholarship funds in both of their names. They will retire number 22 between the first and second quarter of Saturday’s game and UCLA and many more things that are planned by the program.
Earlier on Saturday, the five other Pac-12 teams that are hosting football games painted the 22-yard line hash mark red in honor of Jordan and Lowe.
