Overtime PAT Lifts No. 7 Lehi Over No. 10 Wasatch

SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 7 Lehi Pioneers took down the No. 10 Wasatch Wasps with a touchdown and made PAT in overtime.
No. 10 Wasatch 34 @ No. 7 Lehi 35
The Wasps jumped out to a 14-0 lead before Lehi scored 21 unanswered. Wasatch eventually took a 28-21 lead late in the fourth quarter. Lehi had the ball with under two minutes left and entered the red zone. Carson Gonzalez ran in a touchdown and the game was tied with 59 seconds left. After the game went to OT, Villa ran in the touchdown to put the Wasps ahead by just six after the PAT was blocked. When Lehi got the ball, Brousseau threw a TD pass to Jaxon Christensen and after the PAT was made, the Pioneers won the game.
Lehi will battle No. 2 Timpview on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.

Here are all of the results from the second round of the 5A state football playoffs.
No. 17 Alta 7 @ No. 1 Springville 41
The No. 1 Springville Red Devils used a big first half to move past the No. 17 Alta Hawks, 41-7. Red Devils quarterback Ryder Burton tossed four touchdowns in the game. Springville’s Seth Rigtrup accounted for three touchdowns in the game. Bradey Mortensen added a pair of touchdown catches for the Red Devils.
Springville will face No. 8 Timpanogos on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.

No. 24 Box Elder 29 @ No. 8 Timpanogos 31
The No. 8 Timpanogos Timberwolves snuck past the No. 24 Box Elder Bees after a last-minute comeback. The Timberwolves connected on a go-ahead field goal with five seconds left in the game to take a two-point lead and the game. Timberwolves quarterback Chase Riggs threw three touchdown passes in the game.
Timpanogos will battle No. 1 Springville on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
No. 20 Park City 20 @ No. 4 Bountiful 38
The No. 4 Bountiful Redhawks flew past the No. 20 Park City Miners on Friday night, 38-20. Bountiful’s Drew Bowles ran for a pair of touchdowns in the Redhawks’ win. Bowles also returned a Park City interception for a touchdown.
Bountiful will square off with No. 21 Orem on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
No. 21 Orem 28 @ No. 5 Provo 14
The No. 21 Orem Tigers took down the No. 5 Provo Bulldogs on Friday evening, 28-14. Mack Hixson led the Tigers with a pair of rushing touchdowns. Provo’s Jace Welsch also ran for two scores in the Bulldogs’ loss.
Orem will take on No. 4 Bountiful on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
No. 15 Bonneville 15 @ No. 2 Timpview 42
The No. 2 Timpview Thunderbirds blasted the No. 15 Bonneville Lakers, 42-15. T-Birds quarterback Liu Aumavae tossed three touchdown passes in the game.
Timpview will face No. 7 Lehi on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.

No. 14 Olympus 20 @ No. 3 Stansbury 26
The Titans had a 20-14 lead at the half before Stansbury shut them out in the second half. Ezra Harris accounted for three touchdowns, two passing, and one rushing. He connected with Kaden Skousen and Dylan Hamilton. Hamilton also had a 98-yard kick return for a touchdown.
Stansbury will square off with No. 22 East on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
No. 22 East 38 @ No. 6 Spanish Fork 20
The No. 22 East Leopards upset the No. 6 Spanish Fork Dons, 38-20. East captured the win due to a big-time rushing attack. Leopards running back Amini Amone ran for five touchdowns during the game. Spanish Forks’ Cade Olsen scored two touchdowns on a pair of kickoff returns.
East will take on No. 3 Stansbury on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
