No. 12 Syracuse Advances To Quarterfinals After Upset Win Over No. 5 Mountain Ridge

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The 12th ranked Syracuse Titans are heading to the quarterfinals after picking up a 35-23 win on the road over No. 5 Mountain Ridge.
The Titans had a 21-10 lead heading into the fourth quarter when they added two more touchdowns to seal the upset win on the road. Jake Hopkins threw for three touchdowns, hitting Tyson Stapley twice and once to Jackson Stark. Brevin Hamblin and Daxton Faddis each had a pick-six. For Mountain Ridge, Ayden Helm threw a TD pass to Collin Sublette, while Cade Uluave ran in two scores on the ground.
Syracuse will square off with No. 4 Weber on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.

No. 16 Kearns 14 @ No. 1 Corner Canyon 49
The Chargers started their playoff run with a blowout win over Kearns. Devin Brown threw both of his touchdown passes to Cody Hagen. Drew Patterson ran in two TD’s, while Tre Kofe added one score on the ground. Tate Staley had a pick-six in the win.
Corner Canyon will face No. 8 American Fork on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.

No. 13 Layton 21 @ No. 4 Weber 35
The game was tied at 14 at the half before Weber outscored Layton 21-7 in the second half to advance to the next round. Aidan Carter threw for four touchdown passes and Cannon DeVries added one through the air. They found Logan Payne twice and once to Aisea Moa, Luke Wilden and DeVries.

No. 18 Herriman 14 @ No. 2 Lone Peak 37
Easton Comer led the Knights with three touchdown passes, finding Cole Christensen twice and Max Bateman once. Comer also ran in a touchdown, as did Tyler Bilbro. For Herriman, Jack White had a rushing TD.
Lone Peak will take on No. 7 Bingham on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
No. 10 West Jordan 7 @ No. 7 Bingham 37
The run game was strong for the Miners. Havea Foto led the way with two rushing touchdowns, while Dallen Martinez, A.J. Martin and Saia Lomu each added one score on the ground.
Bingham will face No. 2 Lone Peak on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
No. 19 Westlake 7 @ No. 3 Skyridge 58
McCae Hillstead accounted for five touchdowns, three passing and two rushing. He connected with Teagen Calton, Ashton Eastman and Jeter Fenton once each. Fenton and Tate Walker each added a rushing TD in the win for Skyridge.
Skyridge will battle No. 6 Farmington on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
No. 11 West 7 @ No. 6 Farmington 10
A great defensive battle took place in Farmington. The Phoenix started with a field goal in the second quarter before Bronson Saena ran in a touchdown to give West a 7-3 lead. With under four minutes to play in the game, Mitch Nielsen caught the go-ahead touchdown to put Farmington ahead for good.
Farmington will square off with No. 3 Skyridge on Friday, November 5 at 6 p.m. MDT.
