SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz are getting a good taste of what reserve center Hassan Whiteside has to offer in the first half against the Houston Rockets.
The 10-year NBA vet flashed his length and athleticism against Houston with a pretty spin move that led to a big dunk at the rim.
Whiteside faced up the Rockets Daniel Theis, faked left, spun back to his right, and dunked over the big German with two hands.
Easily the best sequence of the season for Hassan Whiteside.

Whiteside followed up the poster dunk with a block on the other side to provide the Jazz with the type of two-way play they’d hoped they were getting when they signed him during the offseason.
At halftime, Whiteside had four points, three rebounds, and one block in eight first half minutes.
For the season, the big man is averaging eight 8.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in a little over 16 minutes per game. The Jazz signed Whiteside after shipping longtime fan favorite Derrick Favors to the Oklahoma City Thunder to clear cap space.
At the half, the Jazz lead the Rockets 61-40 led by Joe Ingles who has 14 points, and Rudy Gobert who has eight points and nine rebounds. The Jazz have started the season 3-0 and can stay unbeaten with a win before traveling to face the Chicago Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks this weekend.
