SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – PGA Professional Tony Finau stopped by the University of Utah’s new golf facility on Wednesday, October 27, to share insight into his golfing career and the lessons that he has learned along the way.
It was also the first time Finau had been inside the new $2.9 million David S. Layton state-of-the-art facility that includes a two-story 7,000 square foot golfing heaven.
RYDER CUP CHAMP IN THE BUILDING!🏆

Finau received a tour of the facility before speaking to the current members of the golf team.
Interestingly, Finau never attended a university following his high school career at West High in downtown Salt Lake City. Rather, Finau turned pro the second he graduated from high school and immediately began starting to enter his name into professional tournaments with the hope of making a few dollars.
However, the career that Finau has endured has been nothing short of amazing. Finau has secured two career PGA Tour victories, has participated in the world’s most elusive golf tournaments for the past seven years, and most recently became a Ryder Cup champion.
Finau recently committed to play in the Houston Open from November 11 through the 14th. The start of the 2021/22 PGA Tour season began a month ago, but Finau, much like other top players, has been very selective in the tournaments that he plays. This season he has participated in one tournament and finished in a T45 at The CJ Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada.
