Jazz Add Andrea Williams As CXO

SALT LAKE City, Utah – Looking to maximize the experience for fans and employees within the organization, the Utah Jazz have hired Andrea Williams as the team’s Chief Experience Officer.
According to a release from the team, the Chief Experience Officer, or CXO, is a new position within the organization focusing on the experience for guests, partners, and employees of the Jazz.
Williams formerly served as the Chief Operating Officer of the College Football Playoff in Dallas and spent two years as commissioner of the Big Sky Conference prior to joining the Jazz.

Williams will also oversee all diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization and will share responsibility with the People & Culture department to attract, develop and retain diverse talent according to the team.
Additionally, Williams will be responsible for the team’s youth camps and Junior Jazz basketball program which is the longest-running youth basketball league in the NBA. Junior Jazz serves more than 60,000 participants nationwide.
Williams ties to Utah date back to her time working in Ogden while she was overseeing the Big Sky Conference. Both Weber State and Southern Utah University were members of the Big Sky during his tenure.
Williams was the first African American woman to assume this role at a Division I NCAA conference prior to joining the Jazz as CXO.
