Texas Tech Fires Former USU Coach Matt Wells

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Texas Tech has fired head coach Matt Wells, according to multiple sources.
The former Utah State head coach went to Texas Tech in 2019.

Texas Tech is 5-3 this year and just lost to Kansas State. Wells 13-17 overall. Fort Worth Star-Telegram first reported.

The Red Raiders are 5-3 this season. Their last outing was a loss to Kansas State.
Overall, Wells was 13-17 with Texas Tech.
