SUU, Weber State Picked To Finish Atop Big Sky In Men’s Basketball
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah and Weber State men’s basketball teams received high praise in the Big Sky Conference’s preseason media and coaches polls.
The Thunderbirds were picked to finish atop the Big Sky and the Wildcats were picked to finish second in the conference’s preseason polls released on Thursday, October 21.
Southern Utah received eight first-place votes in the coaches poll and 23 first-place votes in the media poll.
Weber State got two first-place votes in the coaches poll and five first-place votes in the media poll.

Southern Utah Thunderbirds
The T-Birds won the Big Sky regular-season title for the 2020-21 campaign.
Last year, SUU captured the conference’s title after posting a 19-3 record, including 12-2 in Big Sky play.

Southern Utah begins the season against the Bethesda Flames on November 9.
Weber State Wildcats
Weber State has been picked in the top two spots of the Big Sky preseason polls in 13 of the last 14 seasons.
Last year, the Wildcats had a 17-6 overall record and went 12-3 in conference games.
