Utah State Basketball Picked To Finish Fifth In MW Preseason Poll

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State men’s basketball program was picked to finish fifth this season in the Mountain West preseason media poll.
The Aggies and the rest of the members of the Mountain West Conference gathered for their annual media day on Wednesday.
Utah State was picked to finish fifth in the conference as the program enters a new era under head coach Ryan Odom.

Colorado State was picked to win the conference after receiving 207 points and 11 first-place votes. San Diego State finished second in the poll with 201 points and seven first-place votes. Nevada came in third with 189 points and two first-place votes and Boise State in fourth with 147 points.
Utah State enters the season with 10 newcomers on their roster under Odom. They brought in Brandon Horvath and R.J. Eytle-Rock from UMBC, along with Rylan Jones and Norbert Thelissen from Utah.
The Aggies will face Montana Western to open the season on Wednesday, October 27 and UC Davis on Tuesday, November 9.
