SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Utes quarterback Cam Rising ran in his second rushing touchdown of the season on their first drive of the game against Arizona State.
The Sun Devils came out of the gates strong and Jayden Daniels threw a 7-yard touchdown to give ASU a 7-0 lead with 9:50 to go in the first quarter.
Utah came out and sputtered a little but gained momentum after Cam Rising ran for 12 yards on third down. He made some great throws to Devaughn Vele, Britain Covey and Dalton Kincaid.

The touchdown run came when Rising went through his progression and didn’t find an open receiver so he took it up the middle and ran to the right side into the end zone.
That tied the game at 7 with 4:29 remaining in the opening quarter.
It’s Rising’s second rushing touchdown of the season. His first one of the year came in last week’s 42-26 win over USC at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Rising was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week after that performance.
